how much do the design programmes cost?
We have structured the fee payments to suit you: you can either pay for the year in monthly instalments or once off, in full.
New students who enrol and pay before the end of September get "next year's programme at this year's fees".
From 1 October each year, the following year's fees increase roughly in line with CPI (the inflation rate).
When students enrol, they take up a place on the programme so, once entered into, the contract may not be cancelled.
For enrolments in January, 2013, the Design First Year programme fees are as follows:
Monthly payments directly into Inscape's bank account (cash, cheque, EFT):
R 75 060.00, payable as follows:
an enrolment fee of R 12 510.00 and ten instalments of R 6 255.00, paid on the last business day of each of the months: January 2013 to October 2013;
Monthly payments by Debit Order or Credit Card:
R 71 688.00, payable as follows:
an enrolment fee of R 11 948.00 and ten instalments of R 5 974.00, made out for the last business day of each of the months: January 2013 to October 2013;
Single payment:
R 71 307.00 paid in full at enrolment into Inscape's bank account.
Non-South Africans must pay the full fee at enrolment.
The following items are included in the price for 2013 first year design students:
- Hi-spec Laptop
- Prescribed textbooks
- Online library subscription for research purposes
- Study guides
- Preliminary stationery and equipment pack
- Software licenses (Adobe and Autodesk)
Please allow for materials and consumables, an indication of which can be found under Student Materials on the fun and downloads page.
A student card and a complimentary flash drive are also included in the price for 2013.
Costs relating to educational outings and excursions are not included.
For enrolments in January, 2013, the Design Foundation programme fees are as follows:
Monthly payments directly into Inscape's bank account (cash, cheque, EFT):
R 55 080.00, payable as follows:
an enrolment fee of R 9 180.00 and ten instalments of R 4 590.00, paid on the last business day of each of the months: January 2013 to October 2013;
Monthly payments by Debit Order or Credit Card:
R 52 584.00, payable as follows:
an enrolment fee of R 8 764.00 and ten instalments of R4 382.00, made out for the last business day of each of the months: January 2013 to October 2013;
Single payment:
R 52 326.00 paid in full at enrolment into Inscape's bank account.
Non-South Africans must pay the full fee at enrolment.
