who should enrol in this programme?
Modern design finds its origins in art. (Good designers use a combination of hand illustration, computer generated images and creative thinking). Because of this, a knowledge of, and an ability in art are a prerequisite for enrolling for design at most reputable institutions.
Grade 12 Visual Arts is a requirements for admission at Inscape. Unfortunately, not all applicants have had the opportunity to take art at school, and not all Grade 12 Visual Arts qualifications are suitable for enrolment into design.
Students who do not have Grade 12 Visual Arts or a suitable art qualification can take the Inscape Design Foundation programme as a bridging year to their first year of design.
