is this the right career for you?
Are you creative? Would you like to design logos and packaging? Are you fascinated by the world of advertising and promotion? Do you enjoy multimedia? What about web design? Interactive media and animated images? What about motion graphics? YES? Then a career in graphic or communication design is the one for you.

what do graphic & communication designers do?
Graphic & communication designers are responsible for:
  • the promotion of goods and services
  • communicating information
  • influencing public opinion
  • advertising (TV, magazines, billboards, internet...)
  • branding and corporate identities (incl company logos)
  • multimedia (web design, interactive media, 2D and 3D animation)
  • packaging and environmental graphics.

True graphic & communication designers communicate messages to market goods, services and information and influence public opinion.

what is multimedia?
Multimedia (also called Digital Communication, New Media, Digital Media Arts, Design for Convergence Technologies, Digital Design...) is the integration (or convergence) of:

Multimedia is used primarily in education, entertainment and commerce (both for information and for marketing).
There are three main facets to a career in Multimedia:
▪ internet / web design ▪ interactive media: DVD/BluRay ▪ motion graphics: 2D / 3D animation
